Department Description

Corporate Finance, Tax & ESG deals with financial decisions on corporate level in respect of questions such as optimisation of the capital structure, dividend policy, investment policy, cash management and company valuations. The Director of Corporate Finance, Tax and ESG reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

The team consists of five distinctive disciplines: Investments, Treasury, Tax, Capital Management and Rating Agency Relations, and ESG. The team is partly based in Amsterdam and partly in Spain. The analyst would work for the Capital Management and Rating Agency Relations Unit with the following responsibilities: Capital Management, Rating Agencies Relations, Corporate Insurances and M&A transactions.

Job Description

The position offers interesting perspectives for an analytically oriented person with a high degree of communication skills and high commitment for performance. The job profile encompasses supporting activities related to the company’s credit rating, capital management, and M&A. The candidate will work closely with the Head of the Capital Management and Rating Relations Unit. Due to the critical importance of the topics covered, the analyst should expect a high level of exposure to senior management (at Management Board and Atradius Leadership Team level).  

In this position your key activities will be:

  • Developing and maintaining high quality models for various purposes, such as: credit rating analyses and capital management, valuations for IFRS impairment testing, M&A transactions, etc. 
  • Providing input and active support in credit ratings, capital management activities, M&A transactions, corporate insurances renewal. 
  • Preparing and updating presentations for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Enhancing the different analyses by an optimal use of database resources (SQL, Oracle HFM) and automation. 
  • Special Projects and ad hoc requests.

 Job Requirements

  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative, taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Results-oriented and responsive to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Dedicated team player, open to actively building relationships across the different units in the company to meet common targets. 
  • Good communication skills and managing expectations with seniority-like attitude. 
  • Analytical skills and creativity in finding solutions by applying a structured way of problem solving.
  • Confident of working with complex models, spreadsheets and other IT-skills needs. 
  • Enthusiasm and sense of urgency to get things done. 

Knowledge, Education and Experience 

  • A university degree or a professional qualification in finance/accounting.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in a multinational environment in the area of corporate finance, corporate development or investment banking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus. Dutch is not required.
  • Extensive experience in financial modelling, valuations, and financial statements analyses.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office applications, in particular Excel, Power Point.
  • Knowledge of consolidation and IFRS reporting.
