Manager – Africa and Israel Markets (M/F) Risk Services 2 – Paris

Risk Services is responsible for risk assessment and underwriting, maintaining a healthy portfolio, and supporting the Business Units. RS2 currently covers France, Belgium & Luxembourg, Italy, and is in the process of integrating Africa and Israel (currently transitioning from RS3)

As part of the ongoing transfer of Underwriting responsibilities for the Africa and Israel markets from RS3 to RS2, we are seeking a Manager based in Paris to oversee in a first time the French speaking Africa region. During the transfer phase this new T300 position will report temporarily to the RS2 Director.

1)

• Join the Transition Team to ensure a smooth handover of operations currently managed by the Cardiff-based RS3 underwriting team.
• Gradually build the Paris-based team and ensure seamless integration within RS2.
• Collaborate closely with the Cardiff team (attached to RS3) during the transition phase.

2)

• Train, coach, and support team members in their daily activities, fostering knowledge development and team seniority.
• Promote in-depth understanding of the regional markets within the team.
• Uphold underwriting policies and ensure rigorous monitoring of the buyer portfolio in a complex political, economic, and cultural environment.
• Oversee all team activities: applications handling, preparation and presentation of credit and country risk committees, buyer visits, and portfolio monitoring, including ad hoc reviews.
• Achieve assigned targets: Loss Ratio, Speed of Service, Hitrate and Acceptance Rate.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders of this zone (brokers, clients and main buyers) and cultivate internal networks.
• Manage your own workflow with a strong sense of leadership and role modelling.

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree (Bac+5) with a strong financial focus.
• Significant and successful Underwriting experience, with recognized managerial capabilities.
• Ability to manage diverse tasks under tight deadlines and assume high-level responsibilities in both Commercial and Underwriting management domains.
• Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Dans le cadre du transfert progressif de l’arbitrage sur les marchés « Afrique et Israël » de RS3 vers RS2, nous recherchons à Paris le Manager responsable dans un premier temps de l’Afrique francophone.

Vos missions principales seront les suivantes :

1)

• Intégrer la « Transition Team » et participer activement à la bonne réalisation du transfert des opérations actuellement gérées par l’équipe d’arbitrage basée à Cardiff. 
• Constituer progressivement l’équipe à Paris et assurer une bonne intégration au sein de l’unité RS2.
• Collaborer étroitement pendant la phase de transition avec l’équipe basée à Cardiff, rattachée à RS3.

• Former, coacher et accompagner les membres de l’équipe dans leur travail au quotidien, favoriser l’acquisition de connaissances et promouvoir la séniorité de l’équipe,
• Développer au sein de l’équipe une bonne connaissance des marchés constituant la zone. 
• Etre garant de la politique de souscription des risques sur la zone et d’une surveillance rigoureuse du portefeuille d’acheteurs, dans un environnement politique, économiques et culturel complexe,
• Organiser l’ensemble des activités de l’équipe : gestion des demandes de crédit, préparation/présentation des comités crédit & « risque-pays », visites acheteur, surveillance du portefeuille intégrant la conduite de revues ad hoc en fonction de l’actualité,
• Atteindre les objectifs assignés : loss ratio, délais et taux d’automatisation des réponses et taux d’acceptation des demandes de couvertures,
• Construire et entretenir le réseau externe avec nos principaux partenaires courtiers et clients et les principaux acheteurs situés sur les différents marchés de la zone. Cultiver le réseau interne,
• Gérer son propre flux de travail avec un soucis d’exemplarité vis à vis de l’équipe.

De formation de type Bac+5, à dominante financière, vous avez nécessairement une expérience significative et réussie dans la gestion des risques et devez apparaitre comme un Manager reconnu.  Vous serez capable d’absorber des missions variées à échéance courtes. D’assumer un niveau de responsabilité élevé sur les dimensions commerciales et de gestion des risques. 

Un Français et un Anglais opérationnel, tant écrit que parlé, sont indispensables. La pratique d’une autre langue (espagnol, portugais, hébreu) sera un atout.

Le poste implique des déplacements à l’international.
