The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Key Account Underwriting Team in APAC as a Key Account Underwriter. The Key Account Underwriter post will be a local contract based in Singapore and will report to Head of Key Account Underwriting APAC.

You will be responsible to manage and deliver first class underwriting service to our most important clients in the Southeast Asia region. You will stimulate profitable growth by supporting our key accounts and new business endeavours of our commercial colleagues.

Exciting travel opportunities are awaiting the successful candidate when he/she undertakes customer/ broker and partner visits in our region. You will also have the opportunity to work and network with high profile decision makers.

Job Description
The successful candidate will develop trust relationships with a portfolio of Key Account customers in the region and business units within the Atradius organization and be the face of Atradius’ Risk Services for credit limit enquiries.

He/she will need to embrace a holistic approach to credit limit assessment taking account of the commercial environment and customer-specific factors while complying with our internal procedures and governance.

As a top priority he/she will make sharp credit decisions and delivery top notch services to customers in a timely manner.

The person will be engaged in internal negotiations and escalations to come up with solutions for meeting the business requirements of our customers.

He/she will present in meetings, workshops and seminars with our existing and potential customers as well as industry partners for business development and marketing initiatives.

The person will need to be on top of the risk environments and maintain good awareness of competition in the industry.

Required qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in credit management
• Exposure to client-facing and/or analytical function
• Fluent written and spoken English will be essential
• Excellent presentation skills
• Good understanding of differences in international business, commercial and risk environments
• Aware of cultural differences and sensitivities and have an aptitude for relationship building and strong inter-personal skills.
• Be an open and able communicator both internally and externally
• Have a “winning and convincing” style in explaining difficult decisions
• Have a passion to support customers and driven to win new business
• Self-starter who can also work independently and under pressure
• Well organized and decisive
• Be a good listener and team player
• Be willing and able to travel
